Leave of Absence
Sana is committed to supporting employees when you may need it most. We understand life happens and taking time away may be needed. Whether you’re caring for a sick loved one, recovering from your own medical condition or procedure, or welcoming a new child to your family, a leave of absence (LOA) can support you.
If you’re considering a leave of absence, please click this link to view our LOA video to learn how to navigate our LOA process here at Sana.
We have all of the tools and resources you need on this page and in the dropdown menus to ensure you understand eligibility and planning guidelines. Planned LOA’s require at least 30 days’ notice whenever possible. In the case of a Parent Leave to welcome a new child to your family, we ask for as close to 6 months’ notice as possible.
Please note, there are different types of leaves with specific eligibility guidelines. The most common types of leave can be found here on our LOA Guideline Table and for the full listing, refer to the Leave of Absence Policy.
Eligibility
All full time benefit eligible employees are eligible for medical leave. Contractors, consultants, and temporary employees are not eligible for leave or any paid benefits under these policies.
