The Sana 401(k) plan lets you save for the future while taking advantage of company matching contributions.

*2025 IRS Annual limits for 401K contributions are as follows: $23,500 (this can be a combination of pre-tax and Roth contributions) and for employees aged 50 and above the catch-up limit is $7500 (combined annual total of $31,000) and there is a super-catch up for age 60-63 which will be  $11,250 (combined annual total of  $34,750)

Plan highlights:

  • Employer Match: Sana will match your contributions dollar for dollar to a max of $4,000 annually.  The match is based on both pre-tax and Roth contributions and is immediately vested and funded per pay period.
  • Contribution Flexibility: Choose between pretax, Roth (after-tax), or a combination of both contributions, not to exceed $23,500 (or $31,000 if you are over the age of 50, or above $34,750 if you are 60-63 years of age).  There are no income restrictions on utilizing Roth, and because it’s after-tax, you won’t pay taxes again on your principal or the gains in the account.

  • Rollovers: Previous employer plan balances may be rolled into your Sana account.  You can contact Vanguard directly at (866) 794-2268 to initiate the process or access the link to the rollover form under the Program Resources drop down menu to your right. For any additional questions, please email totalrewards@sana.com
  • Investment Flexibility: You can select a variety of investments to achieve individual savings goals. The Vanguard website and mobile app provide helpful tools and educational materials to research available investment options. The investments in the core lineup of funds are intended to provide you with high quality, low-cost options.

  • Loans: Eligible loans are available on the plan up to a max borrow amount of 50% up to $50,000.  You repay yourself the loan amount plus interest via payroll deductions.

  • Hardship: Eligible financial hardship distributions are available through the plan to assist with paying expenses such as, unreimbursed medical expenses; payment to purchase your principal residence; post-secondary tuition and education-related expenses, payments to prevent eviction from your principal residence; funeral expenses and more.  Contact Vanguard directly at (866) 794-2268 with questions and/or to initiate a hardship distribution.
