Short Term Disability

This benefit provides you with short term coverage for an off the job injury that affects your ability to perform your normal job duties. Examples of injuries would be broken bones, pregnancies, or any other injury that prevents you from being actively at work.

What You Will Be Paid For How Long? Notes
The Short Term Benefit is equal to 60% of your weekly salary to a maximum of $2,500 Maximum 12 weeks, or the earlier you recover Benefits are paid on the 8th day for either a sickness or injury

Long Term Disability

This benefit provides you with income replacement at the end of short term disability for long term disabilities resulting from an injury or illness that affects your ability to perform your normal job duties.

What You Will Be Paid For How Long? Notes
The Long Term Disability Benefit is equal to 60% of your monthly salary up to a maximum of $12,000 Maximum Social Security Normal Retirement Age, or the earlier you recover There is a waiting period of 90 days which matches the end of the STD maximum benefit period
