Innovation has led Western Digital to become a world leader in storage technologies and solutions. This same forward-thinking mindset has led us to develop our comprehensive and competitive total rewards that support you as we strive together to make our company a great place to work every day.
Western Digital is committed to offering you a rewarding career that gives you the opportunity to make valuable contributions toward the achievement of our business objectives.
The following information will help you get acquainted with our company, complete the necessary new hire action steps, and make a great start at Western Digital.
You have 31 days from your date of hire to enroll in benefits. If you do not make your benefit elections, you will not have any benefits except for the plans that are paid by Western Digital.
IMPORTANT: If you don’t wish to enroll in benefits as a new hire, you do need to waive coverage in Workday within your first 31 days to avoid being automatically enrolled in the above default plans. Because coverage is retroactive to your date of hire, you will be responsible for paying retro or "catch-up" deductions for any missed pay-periods, depending on when you complete enrollment (or are auto-enrolled).
Once your new hire enrollment closes, you may not make changes to your benefit elections unless you experience a qualifying status change, such as a birth, marriage, or gain/loss of other coverage.
