Tuition Assistance

P2S LP encourages the personal development of all employees. The Company may reimburse up to 50% of tuition costs and laboratory fees, not to exceed $5,250.00 per year, to eligible employees who successfully complete approved courses relevant to their current careers. Courses taken at private educational institutions will be reimbursed at the rate of a comparable course at a public institution. Approved courses are those that are acceptable to the IRS for reimbursement. An eligible employee must meet the following criteria:

  • Regular full-time employee
  • Minimum one year of continued service
  • Completing coursework related to an Undergraduate or Graduate degree
  • Meeting performance expectations in current position

The CEO must approve exceptions to employee eligibility. Only courses taken at nationally recognized accredited colleges, universities, and technical schools will be approved for reimbursement. Nationally recognized accreditation are those from the U.S. Department of Education.

Requests for tuition reimbursement must be submitted to Human Resources at least four weeks prior to course commencement. The employee will be notified of the approval outcome before starting the requested course. If a course is only given during Company time, supervisors are authorized to adjust an employee’s work schedule if practical.

Employees are required to submit copies of grade reports to Human Resources as proof of successful completion of the course within 30 days after the course ends. Upon receipt of evidence of tuition payment and proof of successful course completion, Human Resources will forward the approved request and documentation for payment authorization.

Employees failing to successfully complete courses or training with a passing grade or who are no longer employed by the Company when the course is completed will not be eligible for reimbursement.

In certain cases, if an employee is not able to fund a course, the employee may request that the Company pre-pay the course fee. If the request is approved, the employee will be required to sign a note allowing the Company to deduct the fee from the employee’s accrued pay should the course not be satisfactorily completed while the employee is employed at P2S LP.
