Disability

Short-Term Disability (STD)
Short-Term Disability benefits begin on the 8th day of a covered illness or injury and continue up to a maximum of 90 days. The benefit provided is equal to 80% of your weekly base salary. STD benefits are integrated with, and reduced by, any other disability payments you are eligible to receive to ensure that the total of all payments does not exceed 80% of your pre-disability earnings. Short-Term Disability coverage is administered by Matrix, in partnership with Reliance Standard and paid entirely by Swinerton.

Long Term Disability (LTD)
Long-Term Disability benefits begin on the 91st day of a continuous disability. Benefits may replace up to 60% of your base salary, to a maximum benefit of $11,000 per month. Benefits are offset by any income from other sources including Social Security or Workers’ Compensation so that the maximum monthly benefit you receive is not greater than 60% of your gross monthly earnings. LTD premiums are fully paid by Swinerton and are reported as taxable income so that any LTD benefits you may receive in the future are non-taxable. Long-Term Disability coverage is administered through Matrix insured by Reliance Standard.
