We have exciting news! It is time to announce our benefits program for 2020. Your annual benefits Open Enrollment will run from November 18th through December 3rd, 2019. To view and enroll for 2020 benefits, simply access Workterra to make your benefit elections.  All changes will become effective January 1, 2020. 

This year will be a Passive Open Enrollment – current 2019 plan elections will rollover to the 2020 plan year should you not take action.  However, it is highly recommended that you login and review your current plan elections to ensure they meet your needs.  In addition, those that wish to participate in the FSA and/or HSA plans in 2020 must enroll through Workterra for those plans during the Open Enrollment period per IRS regulations.

That being said, our benefits are designed as if every person that touches our mission deeply matters and we have many resources available to help you and your family make the best decisions possible for the year ahead.


2020 Highlights


  • ALL core benefit offerings are remaining the same!
  • This year, CEI has revised its employee contribution structure to be driven by salary bands in effort to more appropriately balance the cost share across the organization
  • Adding a voluntary legal plan through ARAG Legal
  • Adding a voluntary student loan refinancing through SoFi

  • Sign up to speak with a benefits expert directly about any questions you may have:
    • 11/18: 9am – 2pm
    • The team will be in person in San Jose. You can indicate phone meeting or in person meeting on the sign-up sheet.
  • Log into Workterra between November 18th and December 3rd, 2019 to make your 2020 elections. Important reminder:
    • Employee passwords have been reset for Open Enrollment
      1. User ID: CEI Employee ID (employees can find in JD Edwards employee self-service, when they click on Review My Profile)
      2. Password: All passwords have been reset  - first 4 digits of SSN
      3. Company: cei

  • Follow the prompts from your inbox to elect and SUBMIT your benefits in Workterra.  Please make sure you receive a confirmation email showing that everything has been submitted.
  • Check your beneficiaries in the system.

 

2020 Employee Contributions (per pay period)


CEI has carried the majority of health benefit premium increases over the last 3 years on the employer side and not passed the increases to employees, but with the ACA mandated tax changes and steep general increase in health cost, we were unable to continue to absorb all of the health care increases for the upcoming year.  Some of the difference had to be shared on the employee side. However, for full time employees earning less than 75k annually, we tried to keep those increases at a lower rate, and the company still continues to pay a significantly large portion of the premium for all employees across the company.
