Mental Health Benefits

We can all use a helping hand from time to time, and this Employee Assistance Program is a great resource for that. Available to employees and their household members, this confidential service provides counseling for a vast variety of concerns, including but not limited to: stress and anxiety, child and elder care referrals, legal services and financial planning. 

There are three (3) face-to-face counseling sessions per issue per year per person, at no cost to you.

In addition to the EAP program, those who are enrolled in CEI's medical health coverage also has access to the CEI Mental Health Program! 


UHC PPO plan:

- Outpatient Services: $20 copay per visit for "in-network" providers and 30% coinsurance for "non-network" provider.

- Inpatient Services: 10% coinsurance for "in-network" providers and 30% coinsurance for "non-network" provider.

UHC HSA plan:

- Outpatient Services: 10% coinsurance for "in-network" providers and 30% coinsurance for "non-network" provider.

- Inpatient Services: 10% coinsurance for "in-network" providers and 30% coinsurance for "non-network" provider.
- HDHP plan members must satisfy their annual deductible before mental health services are covered by the plan. 
- You are able to use your CEI Health Savings Account (HSA) to cover your deductible.
- To start taking advantage of your HSA account, please call HSA Bank customer services at 800-357-6246. 

UHC EPO plan:

- Outpatient Services: $20 copay per visit for "in-network" providers and not covered for "non-network" provider.

- Inpatient Services: $250 copay per admission for "in-network" providers and not covered for "non-network" provider.


Preauthorization is required for non-network for certain services or benefit reduces to 50% of allowed amount.  For more information on your benefits see your plan policy or plan document.


Kaiser HMO 


- Kaiser members can see any Kaiser provider - no referral is needed and the cost is subject to your plans copay.

  • Get emotional Support: Call the UHC emotional support line any time at 866-342-6892. This 24/7 Optum Help Line is staffed by professionally trained mental health experts, is free of charge and open to anyone.
  • A free on demand emotional support app called Sanvello, is available to help you cope with stress, anxiety and depression during the COVID-19 pandemic
