Optional Supplemental Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)

Voluntary Coverage

This benefit is only available to Administrative Employees (AFSCME, SEIU, TAEA, Non-Represented).

Optional Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance provides an extra layer of protection allowing you to purchase additional coverage for yourself. All amounts elected outside of the new hire enrollment period will require approval through the Evidence of Insurability (EOI) process. If the EOI process is not started within 30 days of when you make your election the coverage will be declined. Employees may choose the amount of coverage in increments of $10,000 up to a maximum benefit of $250,000. The Guarantee Issue amount is $120,000.
