Disability Plans
The employer sponsored short-term disability plan is designed to provide you with income if you are unable to work due to injury, illness or other eligible event, including maternity. After 7 days of disability, you will be eligible to receive a weekly benefit based on a percentage of your weekly salary.
The employer sponsored long-term disability plan is designed to provide you income if you are unable to work for a period longer than 180 days due to injury or illness. This is an extremely important benefit, in that it will provide disability income to your Social Security Normal Retirement Age in the case of a total permanent disability.
